Why our lunch boxes are Plastic
We chose not to make our lunch boxes from bamboo as it was almost impossible to get a leak-proof seal. And when we thought about how the lunch boxes were likely to be handled by their active little owners, plastic came out on top as a material that would stand the test of time. Having a quality product is key to survival in the rough-and-tumble world of schoolyard play breaks, so we made an earth-conscious choice to use a plastic material that is durable as well as 100% recyclable.
