Love Mae was formed in 2008 when three lovely ladies set out to make the world (at the very least, they declared, the average home) a more beautiful place.

Love Mae released their first range of wall decals on Etsy.com, an online marketplace, in April 2009. But they were by no means your standard wall decals, oh no. Love Mae had introduced the world's very first Reusable Fabric Wall Decals; decals that can be repositioned hundreds of times over, scrunched up, smoothed out, even washed and best of all they will not damage your walls. Scratch that - best of all they are gorgeous. Did we mention they are Australian made, non-toxic and biodegradable?

Of course it wasn't long until word got out and Love Mae were picking up stockists all over Australia, indeed worldwide.

Love Mae's fabric wall decals sparked a revolution in the industry; they introduced colours and patterns the decorating world had been longing for. With delightful subjects and themes such as classic woodland, paper dolls, a faraway circus and flying swallows, Love Mae truly has something for every home.

Love Mae were not content to stop at wall decals. Gift wrap was next, with soft, vintage inspired hues and patterns. Made locally like the wall decals and printed on 100% recycled stock to suit the girls ethos.

It wasn't long before the Love Mae team were searching for the next addition to their range. Always believers that something should be beautiful and functional (not just one or the other) Love Mae introduced their line of Melamine Dinnerware. Of course it had to be of the highest quality, with the point of difference being a smooth matte finish to the items exterior, with a glossy interior and all-over colour. The whimsical designs are sure to delight and even the fussiest little eater will want to get to the bottom.

Were you to ask the girls from Love Mae, they would tell you this is only the tip of the iceberg, that there will be many more exciting things to come!

- How are your decals different to the vinyl decals I’ve seen?
Our decals are made out of fabric and with that comes lots of positives. The fabric is a polyester weave with a water based adhesive which means they have no pvc’s, are bio degradable and are non toxic. The advanced water based adhesive allows them to be re-used over and over again so no need to throw them out when your little one pulls them off the wall... just re-apply them. The adhesive has other advantages... it is guaranteed to not harm your walls. So no more embarrassing and annoying moments with repairs to walls! Woo hoo.

- How do I apply my decals?
We recommend that you clean your walls before you apply them. And then it is a simple case of peel and stick. It’s that easy. Because they are re-usable you can move them around until you get them exactly how you want them. How lovely!
If you are moving or wishing to hand them down to someone else, just place them back on their backing sheet and re-use at a later date. (If the backing sheet has gone missing over time, glossy baking paper will also work).

- How do I clean my decals?
FRONT: Hold your stickers under a running tap and lightly wash away dust and dirt from the surface. Be sure not to rub too hard as the friction could damage the surface. Leave them to dry and then re-stick again. BACK: Wipe the adhesive side with a damp cloth to remove any dirt. DO NOT use can chemicals or cleaning products on your decals... it will damage them.

- Will your fabric decals damage my walls?
Definitely not! They will not harm any surface. We do however hope you are mindful when it comes to fresh paint. You really need to make sure the paint is completely dry, we would recommend giving it 2 weeks until you stick decals on it. The only other surface to be wary of is gloss paint that has not been applied properly or old paint on vintage items that has the potential to peel.

- What surfaces do they stick on?
Our decals stick on almost any surface.... tongue and groove, VJ, timber, glass, cement rendered, brick and all your other standard surfaces such as plasterboard etc. If unsure feel free to check with us first.
